Geoff grew up on a sheep property near Hughenden, and then later, on a pig farm near Atherton.

He became a primary school teacher, working in Normanton, Mareeba, Atherton and Herberton.

He has lived in Wondecla for over 40 years and enjoys, motorcycle riding, dirt-track car racing, sailing, photography, videography, camping and 4 wheel-driving.
